First Field Day of the Year 2007
Last Friday, the elementary school had their first field day of the year. Teamwork, cooperation, and communication were the focus of the events. The teams participated in numerous activities where problems needed to be solved and overcome in order to be successful. Some of the challenges included building towers over 2 meters tall, escaping volcanic islands, disposing of toxic waste, and more. Full Story
NISC Science Offerings for 2007 - 2008
This year's high school science offerings include chemistry (shown), physical science, biology and environmental science. This year's NISC Science Forum for grades 10, 11 & 12 will be held on Feb 15, 2008 and the NISC Science Fair involving grades 6,7,8, & 9 will be held on March 14, 2008.

Model United Nations Trip to South Africa
We arrived in Johannesburg, tired but excited about the next 4 days of game viewing at Pilanesberg National Park. The game viewing experience was fantastic. We had many close encounters with giraffes, rhinos, elephants and even a leopard that walked in front of our vans.

Congratulations to our grade 1 TA, Ms. En Sambo and her husband Mr. Heng Kong Kea on the birth of their daughter. Srey Meas was born at 5:30 a.m. last October 12, 2007.

More Baby News
Megan, NISC middle school language arts and social studies teacher, gave birth on Monday morning to a healthy 7 pound and 6 ounce baby boy, whom they have named Owen Peter Prieur. Mom and son are doing very well and both Aaron and Megan are excited and looking forward to coming home to Phnom Penh.

Summer Camp - African Fashion show
To celebrate the Summer Camp "On Safari" theme we held a fantastic African fashion show in the cafeteria, with lots of beads, flowers and colorful clothing. This year's camp was our biggest ever. For more photos, try the Summer Camp page.

WiFi Laptops hit the spot in AP Classes
With three separate wireless access 'hotspots' now installed in the main building, and an extra one in the arts building, high speed internet is now available for notebook PCs throughout the entire NISC Campus. WiFi b & g is supported for all Windows, Mac and Linux computers.
