full-time Office Manager, an Upper School Counselor, and 25
full-time and 8 part-time classroom and support teachers.
The 39
NISC
professional staff members include the following twelve
nationalities (or combinations thereof): 14 (36%) Americans;
7 (18%) Canadians; 3 (8%) Australian; 2 each (5%) Britains,
Filipinos, Thais and American / Australians; and 1 each
(2.5%) American-Filipino, Cambodian, Cuban, French, Indian,
New Zealander and Nigerian. Additionally, the school employs
20 Cambodian staff, including 5 office personnel and 15
teacher assistants.

run on a day-to-day basis by a professional administrator,
called the School Head, who is hired and supervised by the
Director of Education of Northbridge Communities Ltd.

advised by an appointed Board of Trustees, made up of
parents, community business persons and diplomats.

Offers separate, self-contained home room classes for
students from Pre-K through grade 12.

Has
put in place additional high school Advanced Placement (AP)
offerings—i.e. AP Biology (third year); AP Calculus and AP
English Language (second year); and AP European History.

Provides regular and effective ESL instruction to students
with English language development needs from grades 2 to 8,
as well as to selected students in grades 1 and grades 9 -
12.

Continually expands and enhances its After School Activities
offerings for children of all ages.

provides for the school’s sports and activities programs and
offerings.

a charter member of the regional MRISA (Mekong River
International Schools Association) Conference, which
annually sponsors a variety of upper school sports and
cultural events in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.

three weeks during the school’s summer holiday (mid June to
mid July).
