Welcome to the After-School Activities Program
2007-2008.
Instructors Needed for After School Activity (Posted September
3)
The NISC ASA
started this week with a lot of interest from the students. Among the
activities being offered for Session 1 include yoga, ballet, aerobics,
math club, soccer, circus/juggling, tennis, Indian cooking, Chinese
speaking/writing, run for fun, modern dance, golf, photography, drawing
and painting and swimming. Enrollment is still open for those who are
still interested.
The ASA program is
looking for instructors or any parent who is interested in working with
the Kindergarten children in the following activities- play time,
drawing, story telling, computer, or any activity that complements that
which is offered in the regular classroom. Please call Mr. Austin
Koledoye at (855-23) 886-000/-006 or email him at Austin@niscambodia.com.
The ASA provides a wide range of activities, which
promote skill development, and social and personal growth.
The ASA program is organized into four sessions of approximately seven
weeks for each session students and non-NISC students have the
opportunity to register for activities of their choice on the days
listed in the ASA program.
ASA offerings in every session will be updated on the school website; it
will inform parents about the cost, time, name of instructor and the
venue for the various activities.
All classes will be held at NISC compound from 3.00 to 5.00 from Monday
to Friday
A registration fee is charged to each participant. The fees are
necessary to cover the costs involved for hiring special instructors,
buying extra materials and/or meeting other associate costs.
This program lists ASA offerings, but not all are available for each
session throughout the year; offerings depend on, space, weather and
instructors to coordinate and oversee the activities. All activities are
offered jointly to boys and girls. A registration form is available
along with a list of the current offerings in NISC’s main office. A
minimum number of students must sign-up for an activity for it to be
offered; if an activity is cancelled, participants will be alternately
placed or fees paid will be refunded.
Students in ASA must abide by the school code of conduct during the
activity any behavioral problems will be dealt with as if it happens
during normal school hours.
NISC also makes available bus service for all regular bus riders at the
conclusion of each day’s ASA classes. If a child does not regularly take
bus, she/he can still use this transportation service by purchasing a
bus ticket from the school for US $3.00 per trip.
I hope you and your family will have a fun participating in the
after-school program.
