First
field day of the year 2007

Last Friday, the
elementary school had their first field day of the year. Teamwork,
cooperation, and communication were the focus of the events. The teams
participated in numerous activities where problems needed to be solved
and overcome in order to be successful. Some of the challenges included
building towers over 2 meters tall, escaping volcanic islands, disposing
of toxic waste, and more. The day proved to be successful as the
students became more and more effective at cooperating and problem
solving throughout the events. Well done, elementary students!
One of the reasons the field day was successful was the amount of effort
the 7th grade students put into running the events and leading around
the different teams. Thanks, 7th graders.

Fun in PE - Elementary Field Day,
August 2006 (Posted August 25)
On Friday morning, August 25, 2006 with no rain pouring down this year,
we had a
field day. The students still had a wonderful time
running the 50m relay, throwing Frisbees, playing bean bag basketball,
doing parachute games, going through the obstacle course and
participating in a tug-o-war. With the help of the grade 7 class, teachers and TA's, and parent
volunteers the day was a huge success.
