Leadership Plans:
(Posted October 17,
2008)
Dear NISC Community Members,
As many of you already know, my current visit to Cambodia was planned
for the short duration of one month, which has gone by extremely fast.
Tomorrow evening I fly to Bangkok and then back to the U.S. early on
Friday morning. My plans at present are to be away from NISC until after
Christmas.
As I have said to many of you already, my wife Diane is receiving
excellent medical care. Even so, her road to recovery will be long and
at times difficult. Your kind words, good wishes and thoughtful prayers
have meant a great deal to her…and to me!
I want to thank Principals John Arndt and Annette Meeuwse, as well as
our Marketing Manager Jonathan Budworth and others for filling the
leadership vacuum and doing a marvelous job steering NISC steadily on
its chartered course.
I want to thank all of the teachers and teacher assistants for working
with and supporting each other and the school’s administrators during
the first weeks of this school year. Their wonderful attitudes and
efforts have been truly commendable.
I want to thank Ray Yager and Mae Sirichindakul, Northbridge CEO and CFO
respectively, for being so supportive of the school and for doing all in
their power to assist the NISC Leadership Team (LT) and to help assure
the school’s continuing growth and development.
Most recently, I want to thank the Advisory Council for the wonderful
and professional way its members orchestrated the candidate interviews
and aided in the selection process of the new School Head. Arising from
the sound advice of the Advisory Council, Ray Yager and I have made a
firm offer to one of the candidates. We are now awaiting the reply.
During my time in Wake Forest, North Carolina over the next two months,
I will continue to be involved in NISC projects (I have a “To Do” list
to refer to) and initiatives, as well as keep in close contact with the
school’s LT and the Northbridge management.
Now, as was the case with the first quarter of the school year, I know
that all of the staff at NISC will continue to pull together and support
each other and the school’s administration to keep NISC steadily on its
journey forward!
Wishing you peaceful and rewarding days ahead,
David Eaton
