The year is well under way and our NISC students and teachers have been very active. Volleyball, basketball, dances, fundraisers, service learning, soccer tournaments, our students are involved in a great many extra curricular activities. Habitat for Humanity: On Saturday, 12 September, nineteen teachers and students from NISC left bright and early for the Habitat for Humanity Cambodia, Jimmy and Roslynn Carter Work Project (JRCWP) Mekong Build site near Uodong. PYP Adoption:
Throughout this school year the elementary grades have been focusing
on adopting the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International
Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). We continue to pursue the goal
of becoming an IB school and have hired a PYP coordinator, Ms. Natalie Ross Natalie_Ross@NISCambodia.com for this
school year to advance us towards the goal of becoming authorized by
the IBO.

Learn to Fly a Helicopter - In a joint effort between Mr. Broecker's high school physics class and Miss Debbie's ESL brridge students, NISC students were treated to a lesson in the joys of aviation. As senior students piloted remote control helicopters around a series of obstacles on the NISC sports grounds, and their younger peers recorded speed and time data to be used in the physics component on speed and velocity. more...
