Operation Smile

Operation Smile (OpSmile) is a non-profitable organization whose purpose is to help kids with cleft palates and lips. NISC has sponsored Operation Smile since 2003. Beth and I have been working with NISC OpSmile Student Club as Co-advisors since August 2005. NISC OpSmile Student Club has 35 members (17 MS and 18 HS) and ith so many students has been divided into two groups, MS and HS. Last week it elected new officers for the 2009-10 school year:
President: Insung Peak
Vice President: (HS) David Rao and (MS) Aspasie Song
Secretary: Sky Qing
Communication Officers: (HS) Nainglin Myint and (MS) Sally Park
Treasurer: Oliva Ham

NISC OpSmile Club meets regularly with their faculty advisors, Mrs. Linda Ung and Mrs. Beth Mueller, to plan and organize fund raising activities throughout the year. Last year, we raised $2500 and this year, we aim to raise $3,000. We hope you will continue to support our fundraising activities so that we can make 10 children to smile again.
Please be aware that NISC will have an upcoming BBQ on Saturday September 5th. OpSmile Club will have a bake sale on that day. If possible, we would appreciate if you could donate baked goods to Op Smile. We also have a face painting booth which we hope you will patronize.
