NISC's High School

The NISC High School is a college preparatory program offering a rigorous academic curriculum currently aligned to programs in the United Sates. NISC is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the NISC diploma is recognized and accepted by colleges and universities world-wide.
The NISC High School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (DP, Grades 11 and 12). The DP authorization visit is scheduled for February of 2011, and if authorized we will begin offering the DP programme in August 2011. The Class of 2013 would be the first class to receive the NISC DP Diploma.

NISC high school students fulfill graduation requirements in English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, information and computer technologies, music and visual arts, as well as elective classes. Pending DP authorization, students in grades 11 & 12 may opt to take Advanced Placement (AP) classes to meet these requirements. NISC is currently authorized to offer AP classes in European History, World History, Calculus, Biology, Computer Science, English Literature and Composition, Studio Art 2-D Design, Studio Art Drawing. In addition, students may elect to complete an AP Independent Study class in specific areas. By successfully completing AP exams, NISC students have the potential to earn college credits and the AP International Diploma. Each year, students graduating from NISC are accepted to some of the most competitive colleges and universities in the world, including; Duke University, Georgia Tech, University of St. Andrews, Temple University, University of Alberta, University of Victoria, Pratt Institute, Northeastern University, and Reed College.
NISC high school students may participate in many extracurricular activities. NISC is a member of the Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA) and participates in sporting and cultural exchanges throughout the year. Sports events with other schools in Phnom Penh are also scheduled on a regular basis. NISC offers a high-quality After School Activities program with offerings for students of all ages. NISC High School students may also participate in Student Council, Operation Smile, MUN and other school-sponsored clubs and organizations.
