NISC's eighth grade students quickly
become independent, self-governing learners. They think abstractly and
work collaboratively to extend their learning beyond basic skill
development into application-tasks designed so that these students can
explore how best to positively impact the world around them. Eighth
grade students are also preparing themselves for the demands of NISC's rigorous high school educational
program by learning to take their learning from the theoretical to the
practical.
